Girls' Night Out is an awesome event that the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce puts on with the help of local businesses. Everyone living in or near Cambridge, WI should be apart of it...that is if you are a girl/woman. It is always held in the fall and has become a huge event(for a small town of 1,200 people) that has grown each year. But keep your eyes peeled because tickets sold out over a month out from the event and there were 150 TICKETS! Now that is just amazing. All of the proceeds go to a charity of choice, this year it was the Cambridge Community Library.
What is Girls' Night Out? What do you do?
First thing you do to start the night is grab your "benefit bag" that has a bunch of special offers and coupons from surrounding businesses along with a passport that has a list of all of the business on main street that you need to visit. Once you have your passport, bag, and your friends - you head to each business where they will give you a little treat/gift and a stamp in your passport(just a reminder this is not your real passport that the government gives you, this is the one that I mentioned in the beginning...anyways...). At some of the stores they were giving out a small shot glass of wine or some other type of alcohol. yum. The gifts that some of these places were giving out were awesome. to name just a few; a scarf, a rose, pottery, donuts, and many other delicious treats.
Once you went to every business on the passport. We all walked to the after party at The Keystone Grill. You handed in your passport and it was put in a box for a drawing of miscellaneous prizes that a few businesses put together. Good prizes too. Someone walked away with $100 cash prize! There was a photo booth from Tessa Claire Photography which brought on so much laughter. Nothing like laughing at each other wearing ridiculous props.
Ok, now I am going to list some of the business that were there but, I am going of memory..So I might miss one or two.
